Peiro Groso was born in a rural house of Occitan tradition dating back to 1793.

Its special feature is the large stone(Peiro Groso in the local dialect) on which it is built.

The inn is located in Chianale, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in the Varaita Valley. At 1,800 meters above sea level, Chianale is a prime starting point for many hikes, both summer and winter.
